The penthouse stands in Valencia city centre, surrounding by historic buildings.
The starting point for the project is a small and excessively compartmentalised home (the former caretaker’s house) with small rooms and a tiny kitchen. However, it has an outstanding terrace that will serve as a guideline for the renovation.
The idea of the project is to create a living room-dining room-kitchen leading onto the terrace, thus creating a bright and spacious area for comfortable living.
In terms of architecture, one of the strengths of this home is its roof. A gabled roof with visible metal structure giving the home higher ceilings and an industrial look enhanced by the materials chosen and the decision to leave installations in full view.
